FRESH 23 is a long-standing legacy of creative kids producing extraordinary multi-media exhibitions!
Whether it be a fashion show, film festival, concert, or international party, FRESH 23 has reinvented itself year after year (now, in it's NINTH volume)! IN 2008, Mr. Scaglione and his great pal Shawn Gruenhagen collaborated to bring Vans sneakers into the classroom and have students paint them. This sparked the notion to have a fashion show, and on 2008. May 7, FRESH 23 was born.
Subsequently, FRESH 23 became the model and inspiration behind the Nationwide Vans Custom Culture Contest that is currently in it's 7th year, and has grown to include over 3,000 schools across the country. Meanwhile, back in Wheat Ridge, we keep the original vision alive with our annual celebration of visual arts students... throwing a sold out party each spring to honour these artists and watch their ever-creative and evolving fashion show.
